Digital Locker service will allow each and every resident of India having Aadhaar Card to store e-documents on a dedicated and secure personal storage space for the purpose of sharing documents with government agencies, which in return will reduce the paperwork, administrative overhead and will increase the speed of routine processes.
The E-Sign service will also be provided as an integrated part of Digital Locker where users will be able to authenticate documents by digitally signing e-documents.
Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has always talked about the need of “High Speed Information Ways” to boost the connectivity across India. BBNL (Bharat Broadband Network Limited) will be providing broadband connectivity using optical fibber cables to over 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats where the minimum Internet speed would be 100 Mbps which makes it the world’s largest rural broadband connectivity project.
This project will serve as a bridge to connect common people with the government E-services like E-Governance, E-Healthcare, E-Education, etc.
E-Hospital Application System
E-Hospital application system is yet another digital step towards the relief of Indian citizens by eliminating the need of manually registering by introducing online registration system of patients and it is already under test run by AIIMS and other hospitals.
Investment & Employment
Digital India Program also brought about 4.5 lakh crore rupees investments and will create jobs for over 18 lakh people.
Reliance Industries have announced to invest 2.5 lakh crore rupees in Digital India initiative and added that our investment will create over 5,00,000 lakh jobs. Whereas Tata group announced that they will be hiring over 60,000 IT professionals.
