At the Google For India event which held at New Delhi, Google has announced various projects that are currently in implementing phase as well as many of the future projects were also announced which gives a broader look on Google’s vision for India.
At the event Caesar Sengupta vice president of product management announced a new Chrome OS product which is going to be launched by Asus in January 2016 and it is named Asus Chromebit which is already available in few of foreign markets.
Asus Chromebit is a kind of stick pc but as compared to the most of other stick pc devices from Intel or iBall running on Windows 10 operating system, Asus Chromebit runs on Chrome OS, providing you similar experience as using a ChromeBook. It has Rockchip Quad-Core RK3288C processor coupled with ARM Mali T624 GPU along with 2GB of RAM.
Asus Chromebit can be connected to any TV or any monitor through HDMI. In addition, Asus Chromebit also has a USB port, Bluetooth v4.0 through which you can also add mouse and keyboard.
At the event, Google has also revealed its price which is set at Rs. 7,999/- and it will be launched in India in January 2016.
