Asus has launched a new smartphone named Asus Live which is one of the very first smartphone from Asus coming without the ZenFone label, other than the FonePad and PadFone series. This android handset is launched in Brazil with a price tag of 849 BRL which is approximately 14,265/- India rupees.
Asus Live comes with a 5 inch HD 720p display and it runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. This smartphone has a MediaTek MT6580 SoC which is a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and it also supports microSD card up-to 64GB. It is equipped with a 8 Megapixel AF rear camera with LED flash and it is having a 2 Megapixel front facing camera.
On the connectivity front it has dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 (EDR), micro USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS/A-GPS. It packs a 2070 mAh battery and at this point of time it is only available in Brazil.
In terms of design, this phone comes in black coloured front panel whereas the back panel can be white or black coloured. However, the edges, buttons and rear camera lens comes in yellow, blue and pink colour options.
As of now, Asus has not announced any information about launching this device outside Brazil and it’s quite obvious that it won’t be launched in other markets because Asus Live carries almost similar specs as of the previously launched Asus ZenFone Go which is selling in India for Rs. 7,999/-.
