Asus India has partnered with Foxconn to begin manufacturing of smartphones in India in the city of Andhra Pradesh named Sri City and pledges support to “Make In India” program.
As of now, Asus India will initiate the manufacturing with its Zenfone series smartphones, namely Asus Zenfone 2 Laser which was previously launched in India at a price of Rs. 9,999/- and it comes with 5.5 inch HD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and it is equipped with a 13 Megapixel rear & a 5 Megapixel front facing camera.
Along with Zenfone 2 Laser Asus will also be focusing on manufacturing Asus Zenfone Go, which is the latest budget oriented smartphone announced by the company last week. Zenfone Go has a 5 inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz MediaTek Quad Core processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and it comes with 8 Megapixel rear and 2 Megapixel front facing camera.
