Asus is all set to launch the Zenfone Zoom handset in India, which was first showcased on CES 2015 and almost a year later, Asus is finally going to launch the Zenfone Zoom in India, after rolling it out in Taiwan and in China a month ago.
Asus Zenfone Zoom is among very few camera centric smartphone running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. This smartphone comes with a 13 Megapixel rear autofocus camera with optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, dual LED flash and you will also get the feature rich Asus camera UI, whereas on the front, it is having an 8 Megapixel selfie camera.
It has a 5.5 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. However, in terms of processor specs are not confirmed yet, but we are expecting Asus to launch similar specs as we have seen in Taiwan variant of the phone, but it is quite sure that it will be powered by an Intel processor along with 4GB of RAM.
In the storage section, the Asus Zenfone Zoom comes in 64GB / 128GB storage models, which can be expanded further upto 128GB via microSD card. On the connectivity front, it is having Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack.
This handset comes with 3000 mAh non-removable Li-polymer battery and it also has a bunch of sensors namely Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, e-Compass, Hall sensor, Gyroscope and Proximity sensor.
Asus is hosting a 2 day event in India on 22nd & 23rd January, where Asus is also expected to launch the Chromebit which was earlier announced at Google’s Event in December.
