Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 ZC553KL launched back in November 2016 is the higher-end variant which is currently available at 16,999/- on Flipkart powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and if you have been following Asus brand from quite some time, then there is no need of mentioning that this is a battery focused smartphone.
Coming to the unboxing experience, the Zenfone 3 Max comes in a standard slider box and the first thing you get inside is the super glossy handset itself with 2.5D curved display panel, wrapped around with a metal body.
Moving forward to the second compartment, you get a 5.0V 2.0A charger, micro USB cable, OGT cable for data transfer and reserve charging, warrant information and a SIM ejector tool. Sadly, like the last year Zenfone Max 2016, this one too, doesn’t come with a headset which is a bummer for a 16K smartphone.
Talking about the phone, it is a 5.5-inch FHD (1920 x 1080p) display along with 2.5D curved glass. It runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system and it is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor.
In terms of storage, you get 23.04 GB right out of the box. However, storage can also be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB.
There is a 16-megapixel rear auto-focus camera and for selfies, there is an 8-megapixel fixed-focus camera.
It is a dual SIM handset and it is packing a 4100 mAh battery with 5V 2A wall adapter.
This model was launched last year in November for 17,999, however, now it is selling at Flipkart for Rs. 16,999/-.
We have been testing this smartphone from around 10 days and tuned for the upcoming gaming review followed by a camera review.
