DMRC has stated that, once the passenger has entered into the paid area (after using a token or smartcard). The passengers will be able access free Wi-Fi services.
How To Connect?
- In order to access the free Wi-Fi service, users have to connect to the Metro’s free Wi-Fi Network which is named “Metro-Fi”.
- Once they try connecting to this network, they will landed on the Metro Fi webpage, where users have to provide their mobile numbers.
- After entering the mobile number, users will receive a SMS with a login password.
By entering this password users will be able to access free of cost Internet for up-to 30 minutes a day. In-case users want to access the Internet beyond 30 minutes, they can pay extra charges through PayTM for their usage.
MRC has also announced that providing free Wi-Fi services is a part of MoU signed between DMRC and RailTel Corporation of India. The next step is to provide free Wi-Fi services at Central Secretariat, Hauz Khas and Vishwavidyalaya metro stations.
