Google has launched its highly anticipated Pixel smartphones in an event at San Francisco and Google has also announced the pre-orders dates for India as well. So, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are going for pre-orders from October 13 in India at Flipkart, Tata Croma and Reliance Digital.
Both the phones from Google are always considered to be the path definer for all the other Android smartphone which will be coming until next nexus oops until the next pixel phone. So of course both these devices will be running on Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system and Google Pixel and Pixel XL is first device to be coming with Google Assistant.

Talking about the specs, both the smartphones having identical specs, other than the dimension, screen size and battery capacity. Pixel and Pixel XL are powered by the lastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB as well as 128GB storage variants, and has not support for memory expansion.

These phones are equipped with a 12.3 Megapixel rear f/2.0 aperture camera which can record 4K videos at 30fps (frames per second) and it is having an 8 Megapixel front selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. The popular image quality measuring and rating industry group DxOMark has rated Pixel devices with a market leading score of 89 whereas the Apple iPhone 7 rating is 86.
In terms of design, both devices come with a metal body and it is having a fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the phone. These are single SIM devices and also have other connectivity features like NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and of course 3.5mm headphone jack.
Now coming to the differences, Google Pixel comes with a more manageable and easy to hold 5” Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and it is having a smaller 2,770 mAh battery. Whereas, the Google Pixel XL features a 5.5” Quad HD AMOLED 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and it has significantly larger 3,450 mAh battery.
Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be available in India in two colours quite black and very silver. However, there is a really blue colour which will not be launched in India as of now. The starting price for Pixel phones in U.S. is $649, whereas, in India the starting price is going to be Rs. 57,000/- and it is going to be available for pre-orders from 13th October at Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and some others.
