Lava has launched Pixel V1 smartphone in India which belongs to the second generation Android One series and it is priced at Rs. 11,349/- in India which is equal to approximately $177 US dollars.

Lava Pixel V1 Will directly compete recently launched smartphones like Yu YuPhoria Plus, Lenovo K3 Note and the upcoming Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) which is going to be launched tomorrow.

Pros

1. Lava Pixel V1 comes with a 5.5 inches HD Display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. However, Corning gorilla glass 3 is missing; instead you get Asahi Dragon Trail Glass which is still okay and the display is a 267ppi.

2. Android One Pixel V1 smartphone is a decent performer as it comes with MediaTek  chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 2 GB DDR3 Ram and it also has ARM Mali 400 MP2 GPU clocked at 500 MHz.

5. The phone has a 13 Megapixel BSI rear AF camera with features like HDR mode, Lens Blur, Full HD video capture and it also has circular LED flash. Whereas on the front it has a 8 Megapixel selfie camera. Over all the Camera UI is similar and easy to use.

Cons

1. Pixel V1 is priced at Rs. 11,349/- which is a bit on the higher side as most of the other smartphones with high end spces are avaiable at Rs. 9,999/-.

2. At this price point we suggest Lava should have gone for high end processor with atleast 8x cores. However, with this quad core processors and 2 GB Ram the device is fluid and lag free.

3. In most of the photos over the Internet the phone looks like narrow bezel smartphone but sadly the phone has a black strip on the edges of the display which affects the looks. However, it’s not a big deal.
