Microsoft Lumia 950 And 950 XL Launched In India


Microsoft has finally launched its 2015 flagship smartphones in India, Microsoft Lumia 950 And 950 XL at a price of Rs. 43,600/- and Rs. 49,300/- respectively.

These latest devices from Microsoft run on Windows 10 operating system and it comes with a revolutionary feature called “Windows Continuum”. Currently this feature is exclusive to Lumia 950 and 950 XL. Windows Continuum allows users to experience the full fledge PC (personal computer) on an external monitor via a separately sold accessory Microsoft Display Dock.

Using “Windows Continuum” users can accesses apps like Microsoft Word, Excel, Browser, etc universal apps on an external monitor and they can even connect mouse and keyboard which makes it very productive feature.

Coming to the specifications of these devices, the Microsoft Lumia 950 has 5.2 inch AMOLED display with WQHD (2560 x 1440p) resolution. Underneath there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 1.8GHz Hexa Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using microSD card and it is packing a 3000 mAh removable battery which supports fast charging as well as wireless charging.

On the other hand Microsoft Lumia 950 XL features a larger 5.7 inch AMOLED display with WQHD (2560 x 1440p) resolution and both devices uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4. This phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, Octa Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with 3GB of Ram, 32GB of internal memory and microSD card is also supported.

This phone packs a larger 3340 mAh removable battery which also supports wireless and fast charging.

Both the phones are equipped with a huge 20 Megapixel rear camera sensor which has not one, not two but three LED flash lights, f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization and it can also record 4K videos. On the front end there is a 5 Megapixel camera, which is capable of recording FHD videos.

Another similarity is the dual SIM support, which is available on both devices along with USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS/A-GPS, A-GLONASS.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL will go on sale from December 11th onwards at online platform as well as in stores. And it is worth mentioning that, the Microsoft Display Dock is coming for free if your are pre-ordering the device, which will later will cost extra Rs. 5,999/-.
