Lenovo has launched its latest successor in the Moto G series during the MWC 2017 i.e. Moto G5 which is going to come in two variants Moto G5 and G5 Plus running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system.
Moto G series which has always been a class leader in specs as well as pricing, and this time it’s no different. The Moto G5 which is the low-end variant is priced at 199 Euros which translates to Rs. 14,044/- or $210 USD. Whereas, the Moto G5 Plus further comes in 2GB/32GB and 3GB/32GB configuration variants priced at $229 (Approx Rs.15,000/-) and $299 (Approx Rs. 19,000/-).
Moto G5 and G5 Plus Specifications
Display: Moto G5 features a 5.0 FHD display. On the hand, Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch FHD display.
Processor: Moto G5 is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 505 graphics processor. Moto G5 Plus comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU.
Moto G5 (2GB RAM / 16GB Storage) (MicroSD up to 128GB).
Moto G5 Plus (2GB RAM / 32GB Storage) (3GB RAM / 32GB Storage) (MicroSD up to 128GB).
Software: Both the devices run on latest Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system out of the box.
Camera: Moto G5 features a 13-Megapixel f/2.0 aperture camera with PDAF (phase detection auto-focus) and LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-Megapixel wide angle selfies camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Moto G5 Plus comes equipped with a 12-Megapixel f/1.7 aperture camera with dual-pixel autofocus, dual LED flash and it is capable of recording 4K videos. And for selfies, there is a 5-Megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
- Comes with water-repellent nano-coating on both Moto G5 and G5 Plus.
- Both the devices are having front positioned fingerprint scanner, which is capable of performing tasks of all there navigation buttons (Home, Back, and Multitasking).
- Both devices are made out of high-quality metal.
Battery: Moto G5 packs a 2800 mAh battery. Whereas, on the Moto G5 Plus there is a 3000 mAh battery with Turbo Charging i.e. capable of providing up to 6 hours of usage after 15 minutes of charging time.
Moto G5 and G5 Plus are going to be launched in March in selected markets including India in lunar gray and fine gold colour variants. However, US is only going to see the Moto G5 Plus variants.
