Less than a month, Lenovo showcased the Moto G5 series smartphones at MWC 2017, in Barcelona, Spain, and now, the company has launched the Moto G5 Plus smartphone in India starting at a price point of Rs. 14,999/-.
Moto G5 Plus Detailed Specs and Features
Design And Built
Moto G5 Plus is the first smartphone in the G-series to have a metallic body and to be specific, it’s crafted from Aluminium 6000 alloy. It measures 7-mm thickness, plus it is having water repellent nano-coating for the protection against water splashes.
Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a pixel density of 424ppi and it supports 10-point multi-touch.
This handset runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system right out of the box but the security patch it is having is. Like always, you will also get Moto features like the double chop to turn on/off the flashlight and twist for opening camera app.
In India, the company has launched two variants one with 3GB RAM, 16GB Storage configuration and the high-end variant comes with 4GB RAM, 32GB Storage. Although, both the variants are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processor working at 650MHz, which makes it capable of handling high-end games with ease.
From the very first phone of G-series, Moto has done quite well in terms of camera department. Even the last Moto G4 Plus has performed pretty well when compared to completion.
Similarly, this time Lenovo has claimed that Moto G5 Plus packs one of the best cameras in the segment. It comes with a 12-megapixel rear dual pixel auto-focus camera with a large f/1.7 aperture camera which will defiantly help the phone to perform better in low-light situations and will take bokeh photography comparing to the other smartphones.
For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel front wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture.
It is a dual-SIM smartphone and it’s good to see a separate slot for the microSD card, other than hybrid slots. It is also having NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port.
This smartphone is equipped with a 3000 mAh non-removable battery which supports quick charging. Inside the box, you get a “TurboCharger” and the company 15 minutes of charge can provide up to 6 hours of battery life.
Similarly like the Moto G4 Plus, the fingerprint scanner has been kept on the front. However, this time it looks much prettier and it can also work as home, back and multi-tasking button.
