HMD Global has first-time ever unveiled it’s Nokia 2 smartphone here in India, which not only shows that the company is fully aware of the fact that majority of the market potential lies in this segment but it tells how important India is for a company like HMD.
Talking about the phone itself, Nokia 2 is a budget-oriented smartphone which comes with a 5.0-inch HD IPS display and the best feature about the phone is that it comes running on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system out of the box.
Being an affordable phone it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.3GHz which is backed by 1GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there is 8GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up-to 128GB using a microSD card.
There is an 8-Megapixel rear autofocus camera and for selfies, it is having a 5-Megapixel front camera. It is a dual SIM handset and another key feature of Nokia 2 is its 4100 mAh non-removable battery which is capable of providing at least 2 days of battery life.
Nokia 2 comes in three color options but HMD Global has not announced its pricing in India. However, it is priced at 99 Euros for European markets, which translates to Rs. 7,400/- Approximately and it will go on sale in mid-November in India.
