Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and LG G5 are one of the high-end flagship smartphones that you can buy today. On one side is the Galaxy S7 which this year has almost similar design but changes are done inside whereas, the LG has done a good amount of redesign to this G5 as compared to LG G4, and one last thing that already make LG G5 ahead is its modular design.

Samsung Galaxy S7 comes with a 5.1 inch display which is a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution AMOLED display whereas the LG G5 is having a 5.3 inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution IPS display and both the display are super bright and has sharp color. (S7 Edge comes with 5.5 inch Quad HD display).
Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and LG G5 both are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and both are having 4GB of RAM. However, the S7 Indian variants are powered by an Exnos 8990 Octa-Core processor. Both the devices are scoring above 129000 on the benchmark app Antutu but LG seems to in lead here with a score of 134441.
In term of storage, one thing is clear that Samsung has made an improvement as compared to its previous devices. Samsung has brought back the microSD slot (200GB) on both S7 and S7 edge which was missing on Galaxy S line-up form a long time. Apart from that Galaxy S7 is available in 32/64GB models whereas, the LG G5 comes in 32GB storage models and it also does support microSD card upto 2TB.
S7 / S7 Edge features a 12 Megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture which makes it capable of capturing some really nice shoots even in low light conditions and it also has smart optical image stabilization whereas, on the front side it is having a 5 Megapixel selfie camera. On the other hand LG has gone innovative this time by coming with dual camera set-up on the rear. LG G5 is having two camera (16 / 8 Megapixel rear) for providing wide-angle shoots and on the front it is having 8 Megapixel shooter.
S7 is packing a decent size 3,000 mAh and S7 Edge is packing a larger 3,600 mAh battery whereas, LG G5 is having a much smaller 2,800 mAh battery.
One of the major features of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is going to be that it is IP68 water resistant device. Whereas, the biggest highlighting features of LG G5 is going to be its modularity. As of now, LG has rolled-out few other modules like a dedicated camera module and a dedicated speaker module for providing better audio output.
