Sony’s most powerful pocket camera belonging to the Cyber shot series is refreshed and now Sony has came up with the all new Sony RX100 IV (Mark 4 / M4) which is now available in India for sale at a price of Rs. 69,990/- which looks expansive for a pocket camera but might not for the best pocket camera.
Sony’s Cyber Shot RX100 IV uses a 20.1 megapixel EXMOR RS CMOS sensor and it uses one of the best quality ZEISS Vario Sonnar T lens for superior image quality. It offers 2.9x optical zoom and has BIONZ X image processor.
Sony RX100 M4 comes with 3.0 inch LCD display which is adjustable vertically 45 degrees downside and 180 degree to the front, which means you it is also ideal for vlogging camera. It also has electronic OLED viewfinder situated on the left side of the camera and has flash placed just to the right.
RX100 Mark 4 has 10 different shooting modes on the rotating dial including auto mode, program mode, aperture priority mode, shutter speed priority mode, manual mode, memory recall mode, movie mode, high frame rate shooting mode, panoramic mode and scene selection mode. This pocket camera is also capable of recording 4K videos but sadly only up-to 5 minutes, as reported after 5 minutes it stops recording because of overheating but you can continue to record again after it cools down. ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 125 to 12800 and it also has optical image stabilization which you can turn on using SteadyShot which is very helpful for handheld purposes.
This new Rx100 mark 4 is also capable of recording slow motion videos up to 1000 fps and shutter speed varies from blub mode/ 30” to 1/2000th of a second. Sony Cyber Shot RX100 Mark 4 is priced at Rs. 69,990/- which might look a steep price for a pocket camera but the amount of features it offers is phenomenal and when it comes to portability, it is hard to find a better match.
Along With RX100 M4, Sony also launched A7R Mark 2 and RX 10 Mark 2 which will be launching in India with a price tag of Rs. 2,39,990/- and Rs. 94,990/- respectively.
