The newly launched device is named YuPhoria, it is an entry level smartphone which is priced at Rs. 6,999/- and it directly challenges Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto E (2nd Gen) and Lenovo 6000 & 6000 Plus.
1: The YuPhoria comes with a 5 inch (12.7 cm) which is definitely better and easy to hold as compared to its elder brother Yureka. It is a HD (1280 x 720) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3.
2: This time Yu has chosen to go with metallic edges which makes the phone sturdier and removes the entry level tag.
3: YuPhoria comes running on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) operating system out of the box along with Cyanogen OS 12.
4: It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdargon 410, 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor along with 2 GB DDR3 Ram.
5: I was pretty confused to put camera under pros but the YuPhoria can take decent photos in day light but in low light conditions the camera performance is not that great but average.
1: YuPhoria does not support OTG. However it has a microSD card slots options, on which you can move your data and apps up to 32 GB.
2: Unlike Yu Yureka, the hardware capacitive buttons are missing on this device.
3: No Notification LED.
YuPhoria, when seen along with its price, the specs doesn’t looks bad, however NO OTG support and average camera are drawbacks. Whereas, the build quality, 64 bit chipset, 2 GB Ram and display are some of the key features of the device.
Registrations for Yu YuPhoria smartphone has already begun, the phone will be available on 28th May, 2pm onwards at Amazon India and it is priced at Rs. 6,999/-.
